Drinking and driving
Colin got a new tricycle a week ago and he put it to good use on the patio, of course he was driving around with a cup in his hand just to make it a bit more difficult.

Later we took him to Greenlake to ride around the path. He was in charge of steering while I pushed and it was a very slow trip. It pretty much ended up being me pushing him around while we ran off the path into the grass every 10 feet.
We took our first trip to REI (an outdoor outfitter for those of you who do not know – Seattle has the flagship store and it is huge with lots of fun things to do) on Sunday to get raincoats – we ended up being there for over 2 ours. Colin loved it and just kept remarking on how cool everything was in the store. Side note: Colin often asks why Chuck has to go to work and we explain that he has to make money so we can have a house, eat, etc. While we were in REI Chuck went to get a smoothie and Colin said “No daddy, don’t cost money.” – meaning don’t spend money, I asked why not? and Colin said then Daddy won’t have to go to work. Of course after spending 2 hours in REI Chuck may have to work overtime. We are heading downtown today to have lunch with Daddy and to see his office where he makes his money (or should I say “our” money
Here’s Holden, our little cheerio man – the skill with which he can pick them up is astounding. In a matter of two days he has learned to find the cheerio, pick it up immediately and put it in his mouth. We got a new camera which does video so some short videos will be coming.

Colin starts preschool on Thursday. It is a “slow start” so I will be going with him on Thursday and Friday. The classroom and teacher are great. I am really excited for him and glad I chose a co-op so I can see all the things he is learning.
Blog Note: Sorry this (and most blogs) are kind of all over the place with no real theme, but it is hard to write a coherent summary of what is going on with both kids all over me. I just do my best to give you all little glimpses into what’s going out here in Seattle
