Sorry the website was down for awhile because of our credit card companies who keep switching our credit card numbers. Then the provider just shuts down the site instead of asking us what is going on with our automatic billing.

In the week or so I haven’t blogged we found a house, made an offer which was accepted then yesterday we went through the inspection and it was not good. We are about to pull out of the deal unless they made a huge price drop, which probably isn’t going to a happen. We were pretty disappointed yesterday after the inspection – the location, lot and view were all fantastic so the fact that the house has a lot of problems was a bummer.

We also had a birthday party for Colin who turns 3 in a week. John Deere/lighthouse/presidents/space theme – all the things he loves. I spent awhile making a light house out of sugarpaste – turned out pretty well for my first time. We had some friends over including my friend Karen who has a 4 year old, Cooper. Cooper and Colin get along very well and they had a great time together. Thanks to all the friends and family for some great presents. Space books, bug catcher, lighthouse night light, lighthouse book, butterfly puzzle, etc…here are a few pictures:

Holden is doing well. Just had his 6 month check up – 18 lb 5 oz (65%), 27+ inches (65%), and his head was in the 95% – our boys with their big heads. He loves his solid food. He has had rice cereal, sweet potato, oatmeal, avocado, banana and cheerios (to pass the time). We didn’t think he would be able to pick up the cheerios, but he can and he loves them. You put a pile down infront of him and he smashes his big club of a fist down before you can get your hand out of the way. Then he shoves a big handful in his mouth, half of which fall out.

Note about the photo – I know the middle part leaves something to be desired Also the pink Bumbo seat was a mistake. It had a pink sticker on the box that said “Actual color” but the sticker was right on the picture of the green seat so I thought it meant it was green. I kept the box around for about a week always meaning to return it but I kept forgetting…hence a pink seat.

Holden is obsessed with paper and always tries to eat it, you really have to watch him whenever he is near it. (Just in the time I wrote this he found my receipt box, got the top off and had a handful of paper) He is sleeping much better now, cries for a bit before he falls asleep but then sleeps all night until about 4 am, sometimes even 5 or 6 AM. He sits for awhile at a time if he doesn’t get distracted by a toy which he usually does. He is mr. smiley, talks all the time and is generally a happy little guy.

I am sure there is a lot more to write about but we have to get going soon, we are going to see Colin’s preschool this morning. He starts at the end of next week…very exciting.
