Our rental house

We are heading out to look at some houses to buy tomorrow, but for the time being we are renting a place in North Seattle. We have a 3 month lease which then goes month to month, and some great new landlords who live right next door. Here are a few pictures so all of you grandparents out there can picture where we are…

The outside, looks kind of small, but it is a good size for the time being:

You walk into a laundry room (which is in constant use) off the kitchen

To the right is the kitchen, where we have also put the dining room table:

Through the door Colin’s room is to the left (and usually a total mess):

and the living room:

off the living room is a little fenced in patio:

off the other side of the living room is an office (with a view of the mountains - hard to tell in these pics):

Then the bathroom:

It is a bit of a struggle to fit all 4 of us and baby gear in the bathroom, especially after out huge bathroom back in Ann Arbor.

Lastly, the combo “master suite” and nursery. Holden currently lives in a closet, with his clothes on the changing table and my clothes in the baby dresser.

We also have a side yard for Sevi. There aren’t really many bugs in Seattle, the occasional fly, so most people just leave their doors open. I know no one in Michigan will believe me and it takes some getting used to having the door wide open, windows too. It’s nice because Colin can just go out to the patio while I sit in the living room.

That is about it. All the boys are sleeping right now and I just don’t know what to do with myself.

Your rental looks really cute! I think it’s funny how the fridge is up off the ground in that little cubby area. I guess it must make things on the bottom shelves easier to get to without crouching down so far. Plus, I guess you won’t lose any magnets or small toys under there. :)
I totally dig the makeshift closet bedroom for Holden. What a great idea!

I would LOVE to be able to leave our doors and window open with no bugs–that really sounds too good to be true!

    Loveyoumissyou!

    Hessica:

This from Momammea! Anyway the pictures were very lovely, I even noticed some of the furniture from you previous house.

I have received the photos you sent us and think they are great. Colin looks like he has grown and his face seems thinner. The best picture is of Chuck and the boys.

Take care and we love you! Give the boy’s and Chuck a hug for us.

Yeah…I don’t know if cute would necessarily be the word I’d use to describe it, and not just because guys should never use the word cute to describe something (with the possible exception of their own kids, but even that’s a stretch).

Let’s say it’s functional - it gets the job done, but I’m certainly not going to be too bummed out once we find something more permanent!
