Jess

9 months

I can’t believe it has already been 9 months since Colin was born. I know everyone says how fast it goes, but I really didn’t understand how fast.

Colin isn’t crawling yet, everyone tells me to be thankful and that it gets very hard as soon as a baby is on the move. He is now getting up on his hands and knees and kind of rocking. He also stays in the full-on push-up position, which looks tough to me. He can stand holding on to something and then for a few seconds by himself, then he falls and I catch him and he laughs. He thinks the falling is the best part - of course if I wasn’t there to catch him I don’t think he would think it was fun :) He will also take some steps if you hold him under his arms.

He is a very social little guy. Likes to go out on the town and flirt with theladies, acts all bashful then gives them a big smile. He talks a lot at home. He has said both “mama” and “dada”, but I know he doesn’t know what they mean yet. However he mostly just blabs on and on saying “da-da-di-do-da-di…”

He is in love with Sevi. If she is around it is very hard to get him to eat. He just looks at her and laughs and then hands his food over to her (in a closed fist). She tries to get it out of his hand, licks all of his fingers then he tries to stick his hand back into his mouth before we can wipe it off. It makes for long meal times, but funny none the less.

There have been a few funny dirty diaper stories, but for Colin’s sake (and yours) I won’t put them in writing :)
